Packaging often controls the practical minimum. A factory may be able to print a modest number of logos on an existing housing while the custom box supplier requires a larger print run. Alternatives can include:

- required delivery date and destination.
The supplier can then quote a base option and one or two cost-saving alternatives. This is more useful than negotiating a headline minimum that cannot support the final specification.
Where not to shorten the schedule
Do not save days by:
- approving a report for a different model;
- skipping the pre-production sample after artwork or construction changes;
- allowing unapproved cell or PCBA substitutions;
- printing mass packaging before regulatory and claim review;
- booking a lithium-battery route without forwarder review;
- releasing the lot before agreed inspection.
A missed retail date is painful. A recall, blocked shipment, or full lot with the wrong label is worse.
